GOING FOR A RECORD

People often ask, "Why did you do this?" The answer is quite simple. I longed to travel and see the U.S. while I was still young enough to enjoy it, but needed a way to fund the trip. So I worked my way across the country, doing the job I know best. I've been a bartender for thirty years.

Many times people having seen the sign on my motor home, questioned me about my traveling BAR, thinking perhaps they might stop me at the next roadside rest area, I suppose, and buy a drink. After a good laugh I assured them NO SUCH THING EXISTed. It's just a motor home named GEORGIE BOY.

You might well ask yourself, "What did she do, when she was not driving or tending bar?" My week usually consisted of two days driving, two days contacting the media, one day tending bar, one day catching up on letter writing, and one full day to visit whatever local sights I found of interest.

To all the wonderful people across America I send my thanks. they all shared faith, trust, and most of all encouragement to keep me going through some rough times. Special thanks to all the lounges, restaraunts, and bars that gave me work along the way.
